 Niki was the goddess of Greek mythology who personified victory. She was the daughter of Styx and Pallanta and had brothers Kratos, Zeal and Violence. The most famous statue of Victory is the Victory of Samothrace, an original marble work kept in the Louvre. Victory arrives on the bow of a ship to turn the winners into a naval battle. It was set up on an artificial pond so that the show acquires a realistic character. It dates back to around 190 BC.
